Graham Thomson – Director

Graham Thomson moved into the large private yachting industry after a successful career of ten years with the British Royal Navy, where he was heavily involved in all aspects of the aircraft industry, which led to, operating in front line environments, to the research and charting of large areas of Antarctica and the surrounding Oceans, this gave Graham an early knowledge of the sea and its relationship with the land.

 

This extensive Naval back ground gave Graham an excellent work ethic and shipping borne knowledge that helped him tremendously in the industry of large private yachts. His skills in engineering, navigation, man management proved to be extremely useful, when employed as captain on several of these large private yachts. Graham sailed extensively in the Mediterranean, Caribbean and parts of Northern Europe. One other part of the large yacht industry is the repair and service work that is undertaken in large and small shipyards through out the world, so that these vessels can maintain their high standards in appearance and engineering.

 

With all this past knowledge in marine activities from around the globe, Graham  formed the company MTS Yachts and has been operating the company for the past seventeen years, the company was put in place to best serve the super yacht industry, and at the same time fill a gap where technical support and consultancy appeared to be missing large yacht operation. Along with his commercial ship knowledge, MTS Yachts with many commercial shipping projects. Through time the company’s knowledge was being sought after for the ever expanding business of marina and shipyard design and development. With first marina and boatyard in Jamaica in the first stages of construction, after a year of consulting, design, costing, and promotions.

 

Captain Ken Maff – Corporate Trainer

Ken joined MTS Yachts as Corporate Trainer. Ken holds a MCA 3000 ton unlimited captains license, ISM designated person ashore and security offices qualifications 2010,  a SAMS Associate Marine Surveyor 2007, and dive mater qualifications 1997. His experience in this demanding field made him the perfect addition to MTS Yachts highly experienced corporate team.

Ken grew up in Perth, Western Australia and starred working in the commercial marine industry as a teenager. Kens first Yacht command was a 78 foot Italian motor yacht, During the past 15 years working on ever larger yachts  he cruised to many parts of the world. His last command was 47 meter Italian Benetti Vision  “Lady Sheila” In his spare time, Ken thoroughly enjoys, cycling, swimming, diving, reading, and relaxing.

Wendy Frank – Office Manager

Wendy joined MTS Yachts as Office Manager in 2015. Her experience in this demanding field made her the perfect addition to MTS Yachts highly experienced corporate team.

Wendy grew up in Sydney Australia, but has travel the world as crew.

Lisa Correia – Operations Management

Lisa joined MTS Yachts in 2017. Her experience in this demanding field made her the perfect addition to MTS Yachts highly experienced corporate team.

Becci Achotegui – Crew Placement

Becci joined MTS Yachts in 2017. Her Crew knowledge and on-board experience in this demanding field made her the perfect addition to MTS Yachts Crew Placement team.

Becci is from the South of England and has worked on many very large yacht as stewardess and chief stewardess, in many parts of the world.
